Itinerary & Details

1st Day
Arrive in Nairobi to be met by Brayogo Safaris Representative and be transferred to PanAfrica Hotel for overnight. Guest will be on their own for dinner.

2nd Day
Great Rift Valley
Crescent Island
Lake Naivasha
After an early breakfast we will drive about 90 minutes to the Great Rift Valley for morning photos at Crescent Island, a private wildlife sanctuary in Lake Naivasha. Here we will leave the vehicles and take a guided walking tour among the many wildebeest, antelope, zebras and giraffe that inhabit the island. After the tour, we will have lunch at Naivasha sopa lodge and have an open discussion about the rules of the national parks, protecting your equipment from the elements, safety concerns etc. Following lunch, we will drive to Lake Nakuru National park and check into the Lion Hill Sarova lodge and then its off for an evening of photos on the shores of Lake Nakuru which is inhabited by over a million greater and lesser flamingoes. Over the next few days, we also expect to photograph storks, pelicans, baboons, rhinos, giraffe, cape buffalo, hynea and if we are lucky, lions and leopards.

3rd - 4th Days
Early morning photos before breakfast from 0600Hrs to 0900Hrs. After breakfast, you will have the option to explore the hotel grounds and photograph small birds and exotic flora or climb back into the safari vehicles for more photography of the park. Following lunch we will discuss photography, wildlife, and the environment. At 1500Hrs we leave for evening photos to 1830Hrs, have dinner and discuss the days photography.

5th Day

Masai Mara National Park
Morning photos, lunch, and then drive to the Masai Mara arriving late in the evening to spend the night in Mara Sarova tented lodge. Should be dark upon our arrival so there will be no evening photography. We expect to photograph wildebeest, cape buffalo, zebras, elephants, lions, vultures, crocodiles, hippos, cheetah, leopards, and with luck, the great migration as it crosses the Mara river.

6th Day
We leave the lodge for photos as early as possible and return for breakfast around 0900. Depending on the desires of the group, we may pack a lunch and leave for a whole day of wildlife photography or visit a Masai village for a 2 hour tour and discussion of Maa tradition and culture. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Sarova Tented lodge.

7th Day
On this day we leave with both picnic breakfast and lunch to spend the whole day in Masai Mara for photographing and exploring the Mara river region. Afterward, we will move to the Mara Serena Safari lodge which is at the western most point in the park. Dinner and overnight in Mara Serena safari lodge.

8th Day

Masai Mara National Park
Serengeti National Park
Early morning photography, breakfast and then fly to the Serengeti National Park, picnic lunch en route. We arrive in the Serengeti by about 1500Hrs , possibly we may have evening photo taking session to 1800Hrs. Dinner and overnight Seronera safari lodge.

9th Day
Morning photography, breakfast and more photography to lunchtime. Relax to avoid the hot hours of the day until 1500Hrs when we leave for evening photo. Dinner and overnight Seronera safari lodge.

10th Day
Serengeti National Park
Ngorongoro Crater
Morning photography in the Serengeti National Park, breakfast and then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area arriving for a late lunch. In the afternoon photography at the rim of the Ngorongoro crater to 1800Hrs. Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Wildlife lodge.

11th Day
Full day of photography inside the Ngorongoro crater with picnic lunch. We drive out of the crater in the evening to spend the night in Coffee Plantation lodge, where there are many species of birds.

12th Day
Bird photography within the lodge, breakfast and then drive to Arusha with a stop over at the viewpoint over looking Lake Manyara National park. We fly out of Arusha to Nairobi by 1300Hrs. and fly home by 1900Hrs. Meals in Nairobi are not provided.

Price:

$6599 U.S. sharing twin accommodation. Single room occupancy is available for an additional $1200 U.S. Visa and Master Card are accepted. Payment can be made to:
